Had a great time in Manchester as usual. Also I paid a visit to this out of the way, but wonderful place. Interesting the only fiber to be found was from this project http://artyarn-yarnforward.blogspot.com/. I will be submitting a strip of my own knitting for this one. It really makes something boring (railing) very colorful and pretty. The Centre had nice ceramics and jewelry artists in booths. It was a bit difficult
to find, but would be a great place to get a unique gift.
Also quite strange was the fact that I didn't knit for the whole week. I thought I had made a mistake in my Dream in Color Shrug and so I just put it down. It was strange to not be knitting every day, but at the same time I was okay. I was busy sightseeing.
Met with my Buddhist friend J. and discussed my continuing reluctance to meditate. Basically it boiled down to my need to follow rules, and fear of not being able to follow the "rules" of practice. Which seems ridiculous. So I am going to try to not think about or enforce these self-imposed rules. It was so nice to talk to someone with knowledge of Buddhism and I always learn much about myself from our talks. Wish I lived closer.
The visit did make living in Manchester more and more of a desire. I couldn't believe how fantastic the weather was there. It was actually cold and I came back to Atlanta it was 96f. The only thing did miss was my wonderful Sunday knitting group.

Hey - I need to introduce you (online of course) to my friend Heather. Actually you may remember her, I don't remember if you guys knew each other. Anyway, she got married awhile back and now lives in Belper, which I think is in Nottingham. Let me know when you're in town again so we can try again to get together. :)
