Had a fantastic time in Wales and then Manchester, England for the 2 week Christmas break. Finished most of my Knitty Winter 2008 pattern Maja, but didn't bring all of the wool it needed, so I still have one more 150yard skein to add when I get home. That is good though, because it now leaves me time to make myself finish my mother's scarf out of the very pretty, but just not my color Sundara fingering silky merino.
I wanted to get together with some of the knitting groups around Manchester this visit, but just ran out of time. I had a horrible cold for most of the trip, so I was in bed for the majority of the vacation.
Excitingly, I was able to sign up for the Posh yarn club, just in time as all spots sold out in 5 min! The paypal account locked me out though, as it was a UK IP address and it was a UK business and I am from the USA, so it thought it was a fradulant transaction. Things have gotten quite interesting, as although, I entered in my user name and password correctly, the IP address still got their attention.
I really miss my knitting group and also cannot wait for all of the yarn that I ordered before the holiday that is awaiting me from the post. Oh, and also my precious baby kitties, Remy and Samantha.
Cheers!
